Flagstaff Hill
Flagstaff Hill offers beautiful 360-degree views of ocean and islands, and at zero or very low tide it is possible to walk from the mainland at Dalrymple Point across to the island of North Head to explore the old lighthouse. It has a sheltered picnic area and no facilities.
Mullers Lagoon
Almost 24 hectares of parkland in the middle of town, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon. Facilities include toilets for the disabled, playground, fitness equipment, picnic area with barbecue, shade trees, lawns, displays of dry climate plants, native and exotic shrubs and perennials, plus over 140 different types of bird, (a birdwatchers paradise).
Queens Beach
Facilities for the disabled, barbecues, play equipment, tables, shade trees, fishing, swimming, toilets and enclosed stinger net during the stinger season. Lifesaver patrolled during the season. Winner of NQ's Litter Prevention Award 2001.
Rose Bay

Great Barrier Reef - Whitsundays
Said to be the worlds largest living structure and the only one visible from outer space, the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef is often referred to as the eigth wonder of the world.

Reef HQ
The largest living coral reef aquarium in the world. Reef HQ is a miniature version of the Great Barrier Reef and is the Reef Education Centre for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
The Barefoot Bushman's Wildlife Park
Located at Airlie Beach and featuring Queensland's most comprehensive collection of Australian fauna. The park contains koalas, crocodiles and free roaming kangaroos.
